To provide patient-specific, quality dental treatment and preventive care, Dr. Violeta Sora is dedicated to practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in the Mississauga, ON community. Along with her team, she enjoys interacting with and helping existing and new patients maintain and improve their oral health, and educating patients on how to prevent oral health problems in the future.
Education and Continuing Education
A native of Romania, Dr. Sora completed her degree in dentistry at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila,” Faculty of Dentistry, in Bucharest, Romania in 1997. Upon successful completion of the International Dentist Advanced Placement Program, year three and four of the DDS program at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, and the NDEB examinations, Dr. Sora received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2012. Since then, she has been a member of the Ontario Dental Association and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
It is Dr. Sora’s strong belief that continuing education is essential to maintain the highest standards of professional care. To meet her own personal requirements, and that of local and national licensing boards, she completes several hours of continuing education each year in all aspects of general and restorative dentistry, endodontic therapy, and cosmetic dentistry.
Outside the Office
Dr. Sora currently resides in Mississauga with her husband Tibi, and their 18-year-old son Alex. She enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, keeps active by playing sports, and relaxes by reading and cooking.
Dr. Sora’s passion for helping others extends outside the office. She is involved in the community through outreach programs aimed at raising awareness for dental caries in children.
